During the EVO 2019 edition, several innovations in video games were announced, including the presentation of new details on Tekken 7’s post-launch support.
In particular, during the finals of the fighting game, some information was presented on the content of Tekken 7 Season Pass 3, which includes the characters of Zafina and Leroy Smith. On the stage of the event, however, also a rather strange clip was shown, which had as a protagonist Solid Snake and seemed to suggest a possible debut of the beloved character in the Tekken 7 squad. As expected, Metal Gear Saga fans and Tekken 7 players were very excited. Unfortunately, the EVO team decided in 2019 to provide further explanations about the event’s official Twitter account. As you can see on the Twitter at the end of this message, the organization said the video shown during the Tekken 7 finals was just a “joke” organized independently and without consulting Bandai Namco. Consequently, it was not intended to imply a disclosure. The team closes the message with an apology for any confusion caused by the transmission of the clip.
Tekken 7 was not the only protagonist of the EVO 2019, which also announced news for Soulcalibur VI.
